Other people like to use fish tank ornaments and decorations to promote a sense of calm and peace or to give a certain theme to their aquarium. I am a huge fan of aquarium ornaments and decorations and I have found some very cool photos that I would like to highlight below. Check them out!

Notice how gorgeous and natural the aquascape can be. We see a lot of foliage and some interesting fish tank ornaments here. The scenery is calming and powerful at the same time. Smaller schooling fish can look great  in a naturally themed aquarium

Check out the awesome ornament that makes this tank seem like an ancient temple under the sea. Incredible theme here and the fish tank ornament totally makes this aquarium complete. The tendrils in the background resemble a Banyan tree and commemorate the ancient temples in South East Asia

Crystals can make great fish tank ornaments in their own right. These days you can get many colorful crystals to really give you aquarium some oomph! Make sure to get your crystals and any other decorations from a reputed store.

Although, crystals are basically silica and would not contaminate the water in any way, it is important to purchase good quality materials that are sanitized properly. On a side note: these crystals have given me an idea for a 70′s themed aquarium with lots of clownfish. I wonder where I could get a disco ball ornament. hmmmm.

Ahh the famous Betta or Siamese Fighting Fish. These are my favorite types of aquarium fish. They are feisty and energetic and have gorgeous coloring. Their tails are absolutely beautiful and they are graceful swimmers. These are good hardy fish and I would recommend them to any novice.
